We've had a few isolated incidents of artwork being submitted that has a "questionable" fantasy element to it.
Ultimately, it is up to me (the founder) and my contributors to decide what gets accepted. Please feel free to contact us if you think your work was wrongfully declined!
We look for artwork with horses that are very obviously fantasy!
Now, here are some vague examples of what will NOT be accepted, vs what might be:
Horse with purple eyes, vs Horse with purple eyes, purple mane, etc... We need OBVIOUS fantasy elements
Horse with missing eye, vs partially skeletal horse with missing eye
Horse with questionable color or odd coat pattern, vs horse with glitter or pink spots
Normal horse wearing jewelry or lantern, vs unicorn or colored horse wearing jewelry
If you are still unsure of whether or not your art will be accepted, please look at our gallery to see the artwork that has already been accepted!

UPDATE: change on allowing character sheets
I have created a "Character Sheet" folder to keep these separate from our Digital Art submissions, because in my opinion they are entirely different!

I've noticed many people create "character sheets" for their fantasy horses. Like for HARPs and breeding games etc. That's wonderful! However, they will no longer be accepted in the DIGITAL ART folder (or any other except the new Character Sheet folder). If any were previously accepted, please be aware that they will be removed. Just resubmit it to the proper folder!

Changing Submission Acceptance Number
Hey everyone!
Just wanted to update that I've seen one or two pieces that have been submitted lately just sit in our Group folder waiting to get accepted.
It hasn't been a problem before but I want to go ahead and nip it in the bud.
I will be lowering the number of votes required to accept your art work!
Also, we are still accepting contributors, if you would be interested in helping us vote for artwork according to our guidelines.

Welcome to our new group!
Hey everyone!
I've started this group to hopefully help everyone out. I was an admin of FantasyEquine, and have been for some time now. Its an amazing group, however unfortunately no submissions have been accepted recently due to lack of activity on the founder's part as well as some of the admin.
So welcome to my new group! The rules are essentially the same, with a few tweaks here and there to hopefully help things run more smoothly. Please join as members to submit your work!!!!
